Plantar Fasciitis

The plantar fascia is a thick fibrous material on the bottom of the foot, which is attached to the heel bone and then fans out towards the toes. Plantar fasciitis is associated with heel spurs, flat feet, high arches, and falling arches.

When there is a pulling on the bottom fascia, this is frequently associated with flat feet or falling arches. Come in to the Foot & Back Clinic for a consultation.

Heel spurs are a result of stress on the plantar fascia, which causes a pulling on the heel bone (calcaneus), and then resulting in a heel spur formation.

Bunion / Callousing

A swelling on the inside portion of the first toe, resulting in outward deviation. In worse situations, surgery is the only solution. At the Foot & Back Clinic we try to minimize the chances of that end result.

Hammer Toes

This is a deformity affecting the three middle toes, where the interphalangeal joint is hyperflexed. This can affect the biomechanical function of the foot.
